President to Meet Japan Prime Minister Today
President Maithripala Sirisena and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe are scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions today.
The Head of State is currently engaged in a state visit to Japan.
The President’s Media Division said President Sirisena will be accorded an honorary welcome of the Japanese government at the Prime Minister’s office.
The PMD said comprehensive attention will be paid to further strengthen the trade and cultural ties between the two countries during the meeting between President Sirisena and the Japanese Premier.
It has been planned to sign a loan agreement between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Japan International Cooperation Agency in order to implement a project to improve health and medical services.
President Maithripala Sirisena arrived in Japan on a state visit at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
