Malcolm Turnbull’s party ousts him as Australia PM
Australia has lost another prime minister to a party coup as Malcolm Turnbull is ousted by his rivals, according to media reports.
Mr Turnbull has been under pressure from poor polling, a looming election, and a revolt by conservative MPs.
His successor will be chosen in a Liberal Party ballot.
Backbencher Peter Dutton, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Treasurer Scott Morrison are leading contenders.
