More than 300 France fans gathered at a fan zone in Saint-Jean-De-Bournay, a small town near Lyon, on Saturday (June 30) to watch and celebrate France’s victory over Argentina.
France’s interior minister, Gerard Collomb, announced there will be no World Cup matches’ shown in public spaces due to terrorist threats.
That leaves people to gather in private spaces but local officials have to agree and make sure security measures are respected.
For those gathered in Saint-Jean-De-Bournay, it was a happy afternoon as they saw their team prevail 4-3 and advance to the quarter finals.
