Pakistan tightens security ahead of cricket super league final
Security was increased in Karachi on Sunday (March 25) ahead of the final showdown of the third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United.
The group stage matches were played in the United Arab Emirates while the two playoffs were held in Lahore.
Thousands of security personnel have been deployed at designated places inside the stadium and surrounding areas to ensure smooth staging of the final.
All the roads leading to the venue have been blocked for all traffic and the areas surrounding the stadium have also been put under surveillance.
Spectators will need to pass through a three-tier security clearance procedure which can take up to four hours before they can enter the stadium.
