Former U.S. President Obama visits New Zealand, meets PM Ardern
On his first trip to New Zealand, former U.S. President Barack Obama received a traditional Maori welcome ceremony at government house in Auckland on Thursday (March 22).
Following the ceremony, Obama and New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern held a private meeting, discussing issues around climate change, leadership and parenthood.
Obama will spend three days in New Zealand and speak at an event sponsored by the New Zealand United States Council in Auckland.
He will travel to Sydney, Australia on Friday (March 23).
