Indian PM Modi meets top economists in New Delhi
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (January 10) interacted with over 40 leading economists and experts to deliberate on economic policy roadmap for promoting growth and employment.
The participants expressed their views on a wide range of issues including agriculture, rural-development, health during the event, organised by the government’s policy think-tank NITI Aayog in New Delhi.
NITI Aayog vice-chairman Rajiv Kumar said the economists also gave suggestions on budget and structural reforms.
The meeting comes ahead of a federal budget which is expected to be released next month.
