Ravi Karunanayake summoned to Court
Former Minister Ravi Karunanayake was summoned to appear in the court on March 9th.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Dulani Amarasinghe issued the notice yesterday (9 January) summoning former Finance Minister.
Bribery Commission has filed a complaint against Vimal Perera, who was the chairman of Sathosa at 2001-2002 period. In related to the loss of 4 million rupees, Incurred by the government owing to the sale of imported rice disregarding the pricing formula.
Ravi Karunanayake was the Minister of the Commerce and Consumer Affairs from 2001-2002. So, Ravi has been summoned to provide evidence with regard to the case.
