Trumps preside over their first National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump took part in their first National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (November 30) evening.
Trump led a crowd in President’s Park on The Ellipse in a countdown before first lady Melania Trump hit the button to light the tree.
Trump’s remarks were made behind a sheet of protective glass, according to a White House media pool report.
The televised tree lighting ceremony was hosted by personalities Dean Cain and Kathie Lee Gifford.
