Britain’s Prince Charles visits UK-India cultural event in Delhi
Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday (November 8) on the final leg of their tour of Southeast Asia and India.
Charles and Camilla, having arrived from Malaysia, attended an UK/India Year of Culture event at the British Council in the Indian capital. According to the British Council website, the event celebrated a year of bilateral cultural exchange between the two countries.
Charles and Camilla also attended an Elephant charity event hosted at the British High Commissioner’s residence. The elephant conservation charity was founded by Camilla’s late brother Mark Shand, according to the charity’s website.
The pair met India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening for talks on a range of issues, including 2018’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), according to the Hindustan Times.
