Two Monks who went to CCD to give a statement, arrested (2nd update)
Two Buddhist monks namely Akmeemana Dhayaratne Thera and Arambeopola Rathanasara Thera, who went to give a statement regarding the threatening against the Rohingya Muslims has arrested by the Colombo Crime Divison (CCD), a short while ago.
They were appeared before the CCD mid today.
Rohingya threatening: Two Monks summoned by CCD
Two Buddhist Monks were summoned by the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) to give a statement regarding their threatening on the Rohingya Muslim refugees in Mount Laviniya, last week.
Namely Akmeemana Dhayaratne Thera and Arambeopola Rathanasara Thera are the monks who summoned to testify by CCD.
Meanwhile, four suspects, including the female, arrested for threatening Rohingya refugees in Mount Lavinia, were remanded till 9 October by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate yesterday.
