The new constitution should protect the dignity of people: Sampanthan
Assistant secretary of US, Allice Wells, who visits Sri Lanka, met the leader and the members of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) yesterday. The meeting took place at the ambassador’s residence Colombo.
The current political situation of the country especially the constitution process, discussed on the meeting.
R.Sampanthan, the leader of (TNA) informed her that, every Tamil in the country is affected by war and loss their rights. As the result, 1.5 Million Tamils have left the country.
He added that the new constitution needs to be drawn up in order to protect the dignity of all the people in Sri Lanka.
