Amma’s soul wouldn’t have mercy on those who attempt to dismantle the party: Udhayakumar
A day after sidelined AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran said he would go after “traitors” in the party, Revenue Minister R.B. Udhayakumar on Thursday said former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s soul wouldn’t have mercy on those who attempt to dismantle the party.
Releasing two CDs to the media on the statements made by Jayalalithaa on Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Mr. Dhinakaran, Mr. Udhayakumar lauded the Chief Minister for his contributions to the growth of the party and criticised the sidelined leader Mr. Dhinakaran.
“You all know that Amma (Jayalalithaa) had issued a diktat against Mr. Dhinakaran entering Poes Garden. When he couldn’t come there as long as she lived, how can people accept him to take control of Poes Garden after her demise?” Mr. Udhayakumar questioned.
It may be recalled it was Mr. Udhayakumar who first passed a resolution in J. Peravai (a wing of AIADMK) to make Sasikala the AIADMK General Secretary and the Chief Minister soon after Jayalalithaa’s demise.
Recalling the way Mr. Dhinakaran was reinducted into the party after Jayalalitha’s demise, the Minister asked, “How would Amma’s soul have mercy on these actions? Aren’t these actions of betrayal against Amma?”
