Ronaldo trains alongside Portugal team mates ahead of World Cup qualifier
Portugal trained on Wednesday (August 30) in Oeiras before their departure to Porto where they will play against Faroe Islands in their World Cup Group B qualification match on Thursday (August 31).
Fernando Santos, the Portugal coach, has had to call Bruno Fernandes (Sporting Lisbon) and Ricardo Pereira (F.C.Porto) to replace injured Pizzi (Benfica) and Joao Cancelo (Inter Milan).
Portugal, the reigning Euro 2016 champions, are currently in second place in Group B with 15 points from six games Portugal, three points behind Switzerland who have won all six of their games so far. Only the top team in Group B is guaranteed a place in the World Cup finals in Russia, with eight of the nine second-placed teams in the European groups going into play-offs.
Portugal visit Hungary on September 3, for their next qualifying game.
