The Government’s primary goal is to carry out educational services free of politicization, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated.

The Premier added that measures would be taken to expand the pool of higher education opportunities throughout the island, without limiting it to Colombo.

He also stated that the Yahapalanaya regime’s aim was to produce from schools students who were well-prepared to enter the job market, and proceeded to mention that the Government had also taken steps to make primary and secondary education compulsory for 13 years.

The Prime Minister stated this yesterday (13), upon attending the centenary celebration of the Siddhartha Central College in Balapitiya where the school’s new technology wing was also declared open simultaneously.
