Solution to Iranaitheevu protesters in two weeks

State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene has assured the protesters of Iranaitheevu, Killinochi that their demands will be met in two weeks.

People of Iranaitheevu have been protesting for the past 69 days demanding to release their lands. State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene visited Killinochi today (Wednesday) and he met the protesters.

The Defense Minister said that he would not able to provide an immediate  solution, but he assured that he will discuss with the President, who holds the Defence ministry, and will provide the solution in two weeks.

State Minister of Child and Women welfare Vijayakala Maheswaran, MPs Maavai Senathiraja, S.Sritharan and officers were also present at the meeting.
