President meets Representatives of the relatives of missing persons in Jaffna tomorrow

President Maithripala Sirisena is said to have scheduled to meet the representatives of the relatives of those who have gone disappeared during and after the armed conflict on Monday (June 12) in Jaffna.

The meeting would take place at the office of the Governor of the Northern Province.

The relatives of the missing when they staged protest blocking the A-9 Road recently demanding the President to convene into the matter, and the Presidential Secretariat had informed them through the Governor of the Province that the President was willing to call on them in two week time.

Accordingly, the President will fly to Jaffna to meet them, the sources said.
