GSP plus will be withdrawn if SL government fails to fulfill its promises

If the promises of the Sri Lankan government is not fulfilled, the GSP plus granted by the European Commission will be withdrawn said the German ambassador to Sri Lanka.

He stated the above when he briefed a Media amidst the increased Violence against the minority. He further stated that the Sri Lankan government must fulfill its promises in order to receive the GSP plus facilities.

Failing that would result in the cancellation of the facility he pointed out. “GSP plus is an additional facility given by the European Union. It is not a must to do so” he added.
