England hope to knock out Australia in Champions Trophy
England captain Eoin Morgan says he hopes his team can knock out the unfortunate Aussies from the International Champions Trophy on Saturday (June 9).
Morgan said the hosts would want to prove their credentials and keep momentum going into the semi-finals they have already qualified for.
Aussie captain Steve Smith says he hopes his players can rise to the occasion given their poor start due to rain twice halting their games.
The 50-over world champions are particularly upset after their second Group A match against Bangladesh was washed out on Monday just four overs short of what could have been a comfortable victory after having to split points with New Zealand in their tournament opener.
