Thousands of euphoric Real Madrid fans gathered around Cibeles Fountain in front of Madrid city hall on Sunday (June 4) to celebrate the club’s 12th Champions League title with the players and the their coach Zinedine Zidane after their 4-1 victory over Juventus in Cardiff on Saturday (June 3).

Real Madrid become the first team to retain the trophy in the competition’s expanded format, demonstrating their power over the rest of Europe.

Zidane led his team to the club’s first La Liga and Champions League double since 1958 after they saw off the threat of Barcelona to earn the Spanish title too, but they will not rest on their laurels.

Following celebrations at Cibeles, Real traditional celebration ground, the team will continue the party at the Bernabeu stadium.
