Update: Mannar ‘Youth Brigade” training centre released by STF

The premises which belong to the ‘Youth Brigade” previously used as a training centre, have been released by the Special Task Force today.

The buildings were occupied by the Sri Lanka Army and later it was under taken by the Sri Lanka Navy. For the last four years the STF had been stationed in the area.

As parliamentarian Selvam Adaikalanathan brought the issue of occupation of the premises to the Prime Minister, the training centre has been released.

Army releases building of “Youth Brigade” in Mannar

The military forces stationed at the building that belongs to the Youth Brigade in Mannar preparing to evacuate from the building in order to hand over to the relevant department.

The building has been occupied by the military forces the last 10 years.

As the matter was brought to the Prime Minister, the step has been made for the evacuation.
