Heavy rainfall brings flash flooding to Arizona
The city of Phoenix, Arizona was under flood water on Tuesday (2nd Aug) after heavy rainfall caused flash flooding throughout the city, reported.
The National Weather Service recorded an inch (25.4mm) of rain in some parts of the Maricopa County and said the storm was accompanied by wind gusts of up to 50 Mp/h (80 Km/h)
Freeways and roads were covered with water and mud in some cases and cars that tried going though heavily flooded streets stalled.
A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service for parts of Northeast Arizona until Wednesday evening (3rd Aug).
