Girl found alone at Sobeys in east-end Toronto reunited with family
A girl has been reunited with her family after she was found wandering alone at a Sobeys in east-end Toronto early Monday morning.
Toronto police say the child, believed to be between three to four years of age, walked out the front door of her house at around 2:20 a.m. while her parents were sleeping and entered the supermarket at Broadview Ave. north of Mortimer Ave.
Authorities say staff quickly called 911 and officers managed to locate the child safe and sound.
Police say the child’s parents woke up, saw the door open and also notified authorities.
The girl was picked up by her father at 54 Division.
