Sampanthan leaves for Britain to study its federal system

The Opposition leader and the leader of TNA R.Sampanthan has reportedly left for Britain yesterday (Jan.25) to study the federal system of Scotland which is part of the United Kingdom.

The visit of the opposition leader has come in a time when the country seeks to formulate a new constitution and the TNA is also engaged in putting forward suggestions to be included in the constitution.

Meanwhile the Opposition leader and TNA Parliamentarian M.A.Sumanthiran will take part in a meeting to be held in Britain, it is reported.
