Indian PM Modi returns home after Malaysia, Singapore visit
Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, returned to New Delhi in the wee hours of Wednesday (November 25) after a four-day long visit to Singapore and Malaysia where he attended two key summits and signed agreements to bolster trade and attract investment to India.
Modi was greeted by officials at the airport, apart from cheering fans.
During his two-day Malaysia visit, Modi interacted with regional leaders at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and East Asia Summit in capital Kuala Lumpur.
Later, Modi pitched India as an investment destination to the top CEOs. He met corporate leaders to strengthen commercial ties between Malaysia and the world’s fastest growing economy, India.
During the bilateral talks held with his Malaysian counterpart, Najib Razak, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance defence and security ties.
