Galle Test : Sri Lanka 250-2 on day one

Sri Lanka scored 250 for the lost of 2 wickets at stumps on the opening day of the first cricket test against the West Indies yesterday.

Sri Lankan opening batsman Dimuth Karunaratne scored 135, while Dinesh Chandimal who came after the fall of two wickets scored 72 not out.

This was Dimuth Karunaratne’s third century.

Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews won the toss and elected to bat in the first Test against the West Indies at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.

Opener Kaushal Silva scored 18 while, Lahiru Thirimana scored 17 before they were sent back.
