The leader of Pivithuru Hela Urumaya Udaya Gammanpila has not been invited for the meeting held today (Monday) among the President and the UPFA leaders.

The president has invited the UPFA member party leaders to hold talks on the national government and on the opposition leader. But Udaya Gammanpila has not been invited by the President.

Udaya Gammanpila is seriously engaging in the process of forming a new Alliance with some UPFA member party leaders and expects to contest in the local Council election. So this may be the reason why he was not invited by the President.

Udaya Gammanpila, who is a strong believer of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa, has got the second majority of preferential votes in Colombo and has been selected to the parliament.
