Pivithuru Hela Urumaya Leader Udaya Gammanpila claims that Champika Ranawaka, who boost himself as a pure politician and contesting in the general election through the United National Party, has spent Rs 140 million for his election campaigns. Also, he asked that Gammanpila should explain how he got this much money to spend on his election.

Gammanpila made these observations yesterday (Thursday) in a media brief held in Pivithuru Hela Urumaya office.

Further he said that, Minister Ranawaka has joined with the United National Party on behalf of good governance, but he is being the candidate who has spent more among UNP and UPFA candidates. Champika says he is extremely clean, but how he could spend such a massive amount of money since he is not a businessman. Therefore, he has a duty to reveal to the country from where he got the money.
