Prince Harry loves to have kids, but waiting for the right girl
The fifth-in-line to the throne has also spoken of his excitement to meet Prince William and Kate’s newborn Princess Charlotte, cheekily saying the overdue royal baby will have to work on her timekeeping. The aspiring family man also wants to earn a wage and work with “normal people” as he explains his predicament of deciding to leave Britain’s Armed Forces.
Speaking of his desire to settle down as he continues his royal tour of New Zealand, he told “There come times when you think now is the time to settle down, or now is not, whatever way it is, but I don’t think you can force these things it will happen when it’s going to happen. Of course, I would love to have kids right now, but there’s a process that one has to go through and… tours like this are great fun. Hopefully I’m doing alright by myself. It would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure. But, you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens.”
He was disappointed to have missed the birth of Princess Charlotte as he had already flown to Australia when she finally arrived, more than a week after Kate’s reported due date. But the Duke and Duchess made sure Harry was involved from the other side of the world by sending family photographs.
