Along with the Internet Explorer, another feature from the older Microsoft operating system that won’t make it to the successive Windows 10 is the Windows Media Center.

Microsoft has confirmed that its Windows Media Center will rest in a grave as soon as the new OS goes live. The feature debuted in 2002 as Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) and was updated through Vista and Windows 7. It later was offered as an add-on product for Windows 8.

If you try to install the most recent build of Windows 10 on a PC running Media Center, you will receive a warning saying that the app is not compatible with the operating system.
