The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon has required Sri Lankan government to conduct inquiries regarding the sexual exploitations and abuses committed by the military soldiers in North and East, during and in the post war situation.

Also he has pointed that, Sri Lankan government has not still taken any measures regarding these abuses committed under the racism ideology. Sexual abuses against Tamil women, were committed without any restrictions, as those women were suspected to be the members of LTTE. But, these violence were proved by the women who were released in 2014.So, Ban ki moon says that, unlike the previous government, present government should conduct inquiries regarding this and provide justice to those who were victimized.

Further, he requested Sri Lankan government to provide livelihood programmes to the women who loss their husbands in the war and the female headed families in North and East.
