The house construction works of 100 days programme: starts in April

Under the 100 days programme of the new government, the construction work of the 50,000 houses will be started before the end of this month. The target of this programme is to provide 300 houses for each electorate. The project is being implemented by the National Housing Development Authority under the Ministry of Housing and Samurdhi under the supervision of Minister Sajith Premadasa. The Minister said the selection of beneficiaries have been chosen by an independent committee without any party religious or other differences. All recipients will get a sum of 100,000 rupees as loans in four installments.

Chairman of the Housing Development Authority L.S. Palansuriiya says ten years grace period will be given to the house recipient to pay the money back in easy installments. The construction work is to be completed before the end of this year.
